Business-Managed Democracy

“Business-managed democracies are those in which the political and cultural arrangements are managed in the interests of business”

Sharon Beder

Business-Managed Education

Devolution

All over the world, as the business model has been implemented, schools are being restructured along the same lines (see National Reforms). Centralised bureaucracies retain firm control of what should be taught. They establish the goals of education, methods of performance evaluation, core curricula, and resource allocation. Financial budgeting, day-to-day school administration and responsibility for outcomes have been devolved to local schools and their boards or trusts. Principals manage school funds, personnel and educational processes.
