Book Cover

Paul Ehrlich was Professor of Biology, Stanford University, California.

Ehrlich argued that population was the dominant problem facing humanity; posing a threat to air, food, water and the environment in general. For many people, population growth is still the major problem threatening the environment.

The Population Bomb became a best-seller and for years afterwards Ehrlich was in constant demand as a writer and speaker. He popularised the dry academic discipline of demography. He has written many books since.
